Therapy Approach
PACT THERAPY
PACT therapy stands for "Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy." PACT emphasizes the ways in which early attachment experiences and neurobiology influence adult romantic relationships. It focuses on helping couples understand their attachment styles and how they interact with each other, aiming to create secure and fulfilling relationships. PACT uses experiential exercises and interventions to improve communication, increase emotional attunement, and strengthen the bond between partners.
EXPERIENTIAL THERAPY
Experiential therapy is a therapeutic approach that emphasizes the importance of direct, personal experiences in the process of counseling. In experiential therapy, clients are often encouraged to reenact past experiences, express suppressed emotions, or engage in activities that promote self-awareness and emotional processing. The clinician guides the client through these experiences, providing support, insight, and feedback to help them gain new perspectives and develop healthier coping mechanisms.
CBT TECHNIQUES
CBT stands for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. It's a widely used and highly effective approach in psychotherapy that focuses on the connections between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. In CBT, clinicians work collaboratively with clients to identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns and beliefs that contribute to emotional distress or problematic behaviors. The clinician teaches clients practical skills and techniques to manage emotions, cope with stress, and improve problem-solving abilities.
